Did Slovak government lie to the people about the safety and effectiveness of vaccines? No, that's not true: Since the first days of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Slovak government took the adequate measures recommended by the WHO. The most popular COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Nuvaxovid and Janssen) available in Slovakia are effective at preventing COVID-19.
Slovak opposition politician Milan Mazurek claims that the Slovak government has been spreading misinformation, claiming that the coronavirus vaccine will protect people.
No one believes that the vaccine is 99 percent effective. It was wrong to block people who spread the information that the virus could be from a lab. America and the European Union are lying to people.
The claim appeared in a video (archived here) on TikTok where it was published by @makymakynka on December 12, 2022, under the title "Milan Mazurek, good job." It opened:
I stand here because you want to enforce absolute totality. A totality that corresponds to the 1950s.

However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention proves that all vaccine development steps were taken to ensure the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The government is the biggest spreader of hoaxes on Slovakia. Do you want to ban others' allegedly false information? Who spread the information here that the vaccine is freedom? Who said the vaccine is 99 percent effective? No one believes that anymore because it was stupid. Who called for social media to block people who claim the virus could come from a lab? Not me. The US Government, the European Commission, the World Health Organization. Now, everyone has been proven wrong.
